Swami Divyagyan had an insightful conversation with Virinchi Narayan, the State Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party and candidate from the Bokaro Assembly constituency. Virinchi Narayan shares his vision for transforming Bokaro into one of Jharkhand’s most progressive regions in this exclusive interview. He emphasised a development-oriented approach, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, and highlighted his dedication to serving the people through transparency and innovation.

Instead of engaging in criticism of his opponents, he focused on his plans for the constituency, detailing five key projects aimed at improving infrastructure, education, healthcare, and overall quality of life for Bokaro residents.

Excerpts:

On Difference Between Politics Then and Now

“In the past, particularly during the Congress regime, corruption, nepotism, and slow development left the public disillusioned. People had no faith that politics could bring meaningful change. However, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, a new era of politics has emerged, emphasising transparency, service, and development. Politics is no longer just a power game; it has become a medium to fulfil the aspirations of the people. Under Modi’s guidance, the nation has seen the heights that honest and visionary leadership can achieve.”

On his Closest Competitor

“Healthy competition is the foundation of politics, not personal attacks. I don’t waste time criticising my opponents. However, the Congress Party’s vision has become irrelevant to the public. In Bokaro, the BJP has a strong foundation, while the Congress is struggling. My focus is on development and delivering on promises, ensuring Bokaro becomes the most progressive region in Jharkhand.”

Five Key Projects to Implement If Elected as MLA

  1. Construction of an Airport

“Bokaro needs an airport to boost connectivity and economic growth. Twenty-five acres of land have already been allocated by Bokaro Steel Plant, and I will ensure construction begins within 100 days of taking office.”

  1. Establishment of a Medical College

“Improving healthcare is a priority. I will push for the establishment of a top-tier medical college in Bokaro so residents don’t need to travel far for treatment.”

  1. Engineering College

“As an industrial hub, Bokaro’s youth deserve access to quality technical education. I will ensure the establishment of a modern engineering college to nurture talent and boost career opportunities.”

  1. Ayurvedic College

“Ayurveda plays a vital role in healthcare. I will work towards setting up an Ayurvedic college in Bokaro, enhancing healthcare options and creating new job opportunities.”

  1. Transforming Bokaro into a Model City

“I aspire to develop Bokaro to the level of Ranchi, with top-tier facilities in education, healthcare, and infrastructure. My vision is to make Bokaro a model city that becomes the pride of Jharkhand.”

On Political Inspiration and Vision

“Politics, for me, is not a route to power but a medium of service. My life’s mission is to make Bokaro a benchmark of development, where every citizen feels proud of their city. Honesty, service, and development are the cornerstones of my political journey. I will leave no stone unturned to fulfil the aspirations of the people and to ensure that Bokaro emerges as a leader in progress and innovation.”
