Patna, Sept 24: The Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting has commenced at the Bihar Congress headquarters in Patna, with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal, and several senior party leaders in attendance.
Ahead of the meeting, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge hoisted the national flag at Sadaqat Ashram.
Agenda of the Meeting
The CWC session will see top Congress leaders deliberate on several key political issues. The primary focus will be on strategizing for the upcoming assembly elections.

Discussions will also include countering the BJP’s alleged attempts at “vote theft” and formulating a strong response strategy.

Leaders in Attendance
Apart from Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal, and Jairam Ramesh, the meeting is being attended by chief ministers of Congress-ruled states, state presidents, and CLP leaders. Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are also expected to join the deliberations.
INDIA Bloc Meeting to Follow
According to sources, Rahul Gandhi will deliver the keynote address at the CWC meeting. Following this, he will meet leaders of the INDIA alliance to discuss crucial issues such as the choice of chief ministerial candidates and seat-sharing arrangements.
Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav are also expected to hold a joint press conference after the meeting.
First CWC Meeting in Bihar Since Independence
This marks a historic occasion for the Congress, as the CWC is meeting in Bihar for the first time since Independence.
The last such meetings were held in Patna in 1912, 1922, and 1940. The party has described the current session as a landmark moment in its history.
