Jamshedpur, Dec 9: Young innovators from D.B.M.S. English School, Jamshedpur, secured the Second Prize at the Jharkhand School Innovation Challenge – Avishkar 5.0, held at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad on December 5–6.

The duo, Jivaj J. Sahoo and Vivan Pathak, impressed judges and participants alike with their innovative project “EchoGlove”, a smart wearable device designed to convert finger movements into meaningful text messages instantly.

The device has been created to assist individuals with speech and communication difficulties, especially during emergencies, and has shown strong potential for real-world impact.

Competing against more than 200 teams from 144 schools across the state, the students advanced to the Top 20 before clinching the Second Prize.
They were presented with a trophy, certificates, and a cash award of ₹30,000 for their outstanding innovation.
The Principal of D.B.M.S. English School, Rajani Shekhar, along with teachers and the school management, congratulated the students and praised their creativity, dedication, and problem-solving approach.
