Dhanbad, Nov 4: The BJP and Jamtara Congress MLA Dr Irfan Ansari have engaged in trading charges over the deteriorating law and order situation in Dhanbad.
Dhanbad district BJP president Chandrashekhar Singh today hit back at Jamtara MLA and alleged that Dr Irfan Ansari has lost his mental balance by holding BJP Dhanbad MP and MLAs responsible for increasing crimes in the coal belt.
The BJP district president said that Jamtara Congress MLA must know that maintaining law and order and controlling crimes are the responsibility of the state government in which the Hemant Soren government has completely failed.
“So, rather than questioning his government, Dr Irfan Ansari has held Dhanbad BJP MP and MLAs responsible for increasing crime incidents. It shows that the Congress MLA is running away from the responsibility of his party in government”, said Chandrashekhar Singh to media persons.
Dr Irfan Ansari had while commenting on traders’ Dhanbad Bandh call of Federation of Chamber of Commerce on November 1 ( Wednesday) in protest against firing on ’Car Centre’ owner in his establishment on Monday under Bank More police station, alleged that due to the inaction of BJP MP and MLAs crime incidents have increased in the coal belt.
Jamtara MLA Dr Irfan Ansari who had been in Dhanbad on November 1, to attend the Assembly committee meeting on internal resources and central assistance as chairman, while talking with media persons at the circuit house alleged that BJP MP and MLAs are responsible for all crimes.
In Dhanbad besides the MP, the BJP has four MLAs out of six in the district.
Incidentally, on November 1, when Dr Ansari reached Dhanbad, traders and different organizations including IMA had called an indefinite Dhanbad bandh. When media persons asked for comment from the Congress MLA over the rise in crimes in Dhanbad, he blamed the BJP MP and MLAs.
The BJP leader charged the people and the state government both know who is patronising criminals and crime. The Congress MLA is trying to mislead people to remain in power.
