Ranchi, Nov 29: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ranchi today distributed blankets and food items among the poor people shivering in the cold given the increasing cold at the Ranchi Railway Station on Friday.
It was done in pursuance of JHALSA Executive Chairman Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad’s direction.
On this occasion, JHALSA Member Secretary Kumari Ranjana Asthana, Deputy Secretary Abhishek Kumar, DALSA Secretary Kamlesh Behera, Railway Judicial Magistrate Bijay Kumar Yadav and others were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Kumari Ranjana Asthana said that given the increasing cold, blankets have been distributed in the past and will be distributed in the future also. “Food items will also be made available among the poor,” she added.

JHALSA Deputy Secretary Abhishek Kumar said that we are always ready to help them and will remain so in the future.
DLSA Secretary Kamlesh Behera said that given the increasing cold, blankets will be distributed among the poor people by the District Legal Services Authority, Ranchi in the future also and such people will be requested to spend their night in the shelter home.
He also said that those who do not have their own shelter will be identified and arrangements will be made for them to stay in shelter homes and night shelters.
Railway Judicial Magistrate Vijay Kumar Yadav played an important role in making this programme successful.
