Ranchi, Nov 8: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today attacked the Election Commission, alleging it preponed elections in Jharkhand at the BJP’s behest.
Addressing election meetings in Latehar, Arki and Chaibasa, Soren said the EC conducted elections ahead of schedule so that the tribals and Dalits here could not stand on their feet. “They were afraid that if the elections were held on time, Hemant Soren would get a chance to work for the people of Jharkhand and there would be no one to carry the flag for the BJP,” he asserted.
Eyes on mineral wealth
Hemant Soren said that these days many BJP Chief Ministers and the Prime Minister are visiting Jharkhand. “This is not because they have to do the welfare of the tribals, Dalits, and backward people but these people have their eyes on the mineral wealth here. You should unite and work to strengthen the Mahagathbandhan,” he added.
Why don’t they give cheap gas cylinders in their states?
Hemant Soren said the BJP says that they will give gas cylinders to people for Rs 500. “I ask whether they are giving gas cylinders for Rs 500 to the people of Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, wherever there are BJP governments? BJP says that they will give Rs 2100 to women. Why are these people spreading lies and Jumla (rhetoric). In what capacity will these people give Rs 2100? Are they in the government? I have made a law to give respect to the women of Jharkhand. More than 57 lakh women are getting this respect,” he said.
Abua Raj will happen
During his election rally in Chaibasa, Hemant Soren attacked Home Minister Amit Shah. He said that the Home Minister of the country is also the minister of the Cooperative Bank. “These people have cheated Sahara. He has been a minister for 11-12 years, ask him what he has done. We will uncover layer by layer,” he warned.
People said the electricity bill was waived
Referring to the alleged conspiracy done by the BJP in the last five years, Soren said that he has shown by working amidst the conspiracy of the BJP. “Earlier, people had to take loans to pay their electricity bills, women had to mortgage their jewellery. Your government has taken this burden off your head. All your pending bills have been waived,” he pointed out.
One lakh will go to every family
Talking to the women, Hemant said that for the first time, a government has come forward for Maiyaan Samman. “Three instalments have been sent to the accounts of all the mothers and sisters. Everyone will receive ₹2500 from December. In the next five years, we will send 1 lakh rupees to every family. We will make the people of Jharkhand so strong that they will not need to take loans,” he promised.
