Patna, August 1: With Assembly elections in Bihar due later this year, the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Friday released the draft electoral rolls, marking the start of the “claims and objections” period that will run until September 1.

During this time, voters can seek corrections or restore names wrongfully deleted from the list.

The draft rolls were published after a month-long Special Intensive Revision (SIR), which began in June, and had recorded 7.93 crore registered voters before the revision.

However, the updated voter count has not yet been disclosed.
While no consolidated list has been shared publicly, individuals can verify their names on the EC’s official website.
