Ranchi, July 9: The central investigation agency ED has challenged the bail order granted to Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the Supreme Court.
According to sources associated with ED, the order of Jharkhand High Court dated June 28 has been challenged in the Supreme Court, in which the Jharkhand High Court has granted bail to Hemant Soren with certain conditions.
However, at present, ED’s petition has not been listed for hearing in the Supreme Court.

Hemant Soren was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on January 31 2024 in the alleged land scam case. Before his arrest, Hemant Soren went to the Raj Bhavan and submitted his resignation to Governor CP Radhakrishnan.
After 5 months, Hemant Soren got bail from the Jharkhand High Court and he was released from jail on June 28.
