Hazaribag, March 12: The Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) raids at locations linked to Congress Barkagaon MLA Amba Prasad have angered her mother, Nirmala Devi, who termed this action wrong.
Nirmala is an ex-MLA
Nirmala, also former MLA of Barakagaon, is the wife of former Agriculture Minister Yogendra Sao. The couple, who are facing several cases, was in jail for a long time and came out last year on bail.
With ED raiding their premises, Nirmala raised her finger on the timing of it. “Why are they raiding our house?” she asked.

Sources said the ED received a complaint against Amba for money laundering. They said this is why raids are being conducted at her house, with a team going through various documents there. Raids have also taken place at the home of Amba’s maternal uncle in Hazaribag town and Keredari.
The ED also conducts raids at locations linked to Circle Officer Shashi Bhushan Singh, currently posted at Govindpur in Dhanbad. He was earlier posted in Hazaribag.
The search is being carried out at 17 places, said ED sources.
