Patna, March 27: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday conducted a raid at the residence of Bihar’s Building Construction Department Chief Engineer, Tarini Das, in Patna’s Purnendu Nagar.

Reports indicate that the case is linked to IAS officer Sanjeev Hans.

According to sources, the ED team arrived at Tarini Das’ residence around 4-5 AM. It has been confirmed that he was present at his home during the raid.

Raids at multiple locations

Apart from Tarini Das’ residence in Purnendu Nagar, the ED is conducting searches at multiple locations. The operation targets government officials and contractors involved in managing government tenders.

During the search, reports suggest that assets worth crores of rupees have been seized.

Additionally, the ED is carrying out search operations at locations linked to Patna’s well-known high-profile businessman, Rishu Shri, and his associates.

Connection to IAS officer Sanjeev Hans

As per reports, the raids are linked to ED’s money laundering probe against IAS Officer Sanjeev Hans who is a 1997 batch officer originally from Punjab and has been under ED investigation.

Previously, the ED had registered a money laundering case against him and conducted raids at his premises in Patna, Delhi, and other locations across the country.

During these raids, the ED obtained multiple pieces of evidence related to money laundering, including documents of benami properties and electronic records.
