ED team reaches CM Hemant Soren’s Delhi residence and Jharkhand Bhawan

New Delhi, Jan 29: A team from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) reached the Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s residence in Delhi and Delhi’s Jharkhand Bhavan on Monday as part of an investigation related to money laundering linked to a land scam.

It is noteworthy that Hemant Soren arrived in Delhi on January 27. CM Hemant Soren is on a tour of Delhi for the last two days.

ED issued 10th summons on Jan 27

Earlier, on January 27, the ED had sent a 10th summons to Hemant Soren.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had sent a letter to the Chief Minister, asking him to specify the dates for questioning between January 29 and 31. Along with the previous summons, ED had mentioned that if he did not come to record a statement, the ED would visit him on its own. Earlier, on January 22, the ED had sent a ninth summons, giving the Chief Minister a time frame of January 27 to 31 for questioning.

On the other hand, security arrangements have been increased at several locations, including the Chief Minister’s residence, in the capital city Ranchi. Additional police forces have been deployed in various places.
