Jamshedpur, Oct 14: A thought-provoking seminar on “Entrepreneurship: The Foundation of Self-Reliant India” was held on Monday at the Swadeshi Mela currently underway at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur.
The event drew leading industrialists, educationists, and youth representatives who underscored the pivotal role of entrepreneurship and innovation in shaping an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
RSB Group Vice Chairman and Managing Director S.K. Behera, the chief guest, emphasized that self-reliance means creating a nation capable of fulfilling its own needs through indigenous innovation, technology, and youth empowerment.

“An entrepreneur not only transforms his own life but also creates opportunities for others. To realize the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, we must embrace innovation, promote small enterprises, and take pride in Indian products,” he said.

Among the dignitaries present were Sona Devi University Chancellor Prabhakar Singh, Arka Jain University Director Amit Srivastava, Srinath University Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) S.N. Singh, Swadeshi Jagran Manch National Council Member Manoj Kumar Singh, Swadeshi Mela Co-convener Amitabh Senapati, and Swavalambi Bharat District Co-convener Amresh Jha.
Speakers highlighted that entrepreneurship acts as a dynamic driver of economic growth and a sustainable solution to unemployment. It empowers individuals to become job creators, contributing to national development.
Delivering the keynote address, Manoj Kumar Singh said, “India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation is a collective mission. By fostering innovation, resilience, and entrepreneurship, we can unlock the potential of millions and build a prosperous, inclusive, and self-reliant India by 2047.”
Convener Amitabh Senapati noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, several government schemes — including Startup India, Make in India, Mudra Yojana, and Stand-Up India — are empowering youth to become entrepreneurs.
The event was chaired by Amlesh Jha, District Co-coordinator of Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan.

Pratibha Rani Mishra, NSS Programme Officer, GIIT Professional College, conducted the proceedings, while Nitish Moni Tiwari delivered the vote of thanks.
Participation certificates were distributed to students.
Students and faculty from Jamshedpur Women’s University, Arka Jain University, Srinath University, IDTR, NTTF, Rambha College, Sona Devi University, and several colleges under Kolhan University attended in large numbers.
