Karandlaje is running for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from the Pulakeshinagar Assembly constituency, which is part of the Bangalore North Lok Sabha segment.

On this occasion, Yediyurappa remarked, “Srinivas Murthy joining BJP before the elections has given the party a big strength.”

“Shobha Karandlaje winning with a margin of 2.5 lakh to three lakh votes is certain,” he added.
