PINAKI MAJUMDAR

Jamshedpur, Nov 25: From November 25 to 28, Jharkhand is expected to see a repeating weather pattern: fog or mist in the early morning, followed by partly cloudy skies and dry weather during the day.

There is no major synoptic disturbance over the state, and northerly to north-westerly winds are prevailing in the lower troposphere.

Recently, the highest maximum temperature recorded was 29.8°C at Chaibasa, while the lowest minimum temperature was 10.5°C at Gumla.

This weather pattern matches typical November conditions in Jharkhand, where daytime temperatures of 26–30°C and nighttime temperatures of 10–16°C are common, with no rainfall activity.

For residents and travellers, the coming days will be comfortable for outdoor work once the morning mist clears, though early hours will require caution while driving due to reduced visibility.

What to keep in mind:

  • Morning fog or mist may reduce visibility, especially on rural roads and in valleys — allow extra travel time.
  • With dry, partly cloudy days, air quality may stay moderate — people sensitive to dust should take care.
  • Mornings are chilly, especially in Gumla and other higher-altitude or sheltered places, so carry a light jacket.
  • No rainfall is expected, making this a good period for outdoor activities, agricultural work, or travel.
  • Partly cloudy conditions mean sunshine will increase through the day — afternoons may have moderate to strong sun, so use protection as needed.

In summary, the state is entering a stable, dry spell with typical late-November conditions — foggy mornings followed by pleasant afternoons.
