Jamshedpur, April 7: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre has issued a weather alert for the upcoming days, warning of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds likely to affect various parts of the state.

April 7 (Monday): Thunderstorms and lightning with gusty winds (30–40 kmph) are expected at isolated places over the North Eastern parts of the state.
April 8 (Tuesday): Similar weather conditions are likely to persist, with isolated occurrences of thunderstorms and gusty winds (30–40 kmph).

April 9 (Wednesday): The area of impact may expand to include the Southern, Central, and North Eastern regions of the state.

April 10 (Thursday): Weather activity is expected to intensify, with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40–50 kmph likely across isolated places over the entire state.
These developments are associated with a trough extending from East Bihar to East Vidarbha, embedded with a cyclonic circulation over East Bihar.
The system stretches across Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, reaching up to 1.5 Km above mean sea level.
Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest forecasts and take necessary precautions, especially in areas prone to lightning and strong winds.
