Daltonganj, Dec 4: The district election officer cum deputy commissioner of Garhwa Shekhar Jamuar today put under suspension two personnel deputed and drafted for the electoral duties in the Garhwa assembly constituency in the state.
One of the two suspended is the supervisor identified as Bhavesh Ravidas, a junior engineer in the rural development special division 2 of Garhwa.
This supervisor was tasked to supervise electoral works of booths 160 to 169 in the Garhwa assembly constituency.
He was given a checklist which he was to give it to the respective booth level officers of 160 to 169.

The supervisor was found all absent at all the booths 160 to 169. Again he kept with him the check list and didn’t give it to the respective booth level officers of booth 160 to 169. All electoral works of these booths got stalled. No processing of the forms could be done.
His dereliction and negligence did not end here. He was show caused by the assistant electoral registration officer cum circle officer Garhwa which he did not respond too.
District election officer cum DC Garhwa Shekhar Jamuar told this correspondent today “This supervisor has been suspended with immediate effect December 4. The Executive engineer rural development special division 2 of Garhwa has been asked to ensure suspension order is served to the supervisor who is junior engineer there.”
In other crack down, a booth level officer who is a clerk in the Gobind Plus 2 high school Garhwa identified as Umesh Thakur has been suspended by the district election officer cum DC Garhwa Shekhar Jamuar today.
Thakur was deputed and drafted as a booth level officer for booth number 120 in the Garhwa assembly constituency. He was found absent. Again his previous work for obtaining filled Form 6 or giving away Form 6 for addition to new voters was found zero.
The district education officer Garhwa has been directed to ensure the suspension order of Umesh Thakur is served to him.

Jamuar told this correspondent “There is no room for any laxity in the election work. Election work has to be taken in all high seriousness. It is to be accorded highest priority.”
Jamuar said, “I ask everyone engaged to perform election work to do it most sincerely and carefully. I believe one will not wait for suspension and initiation of the departmental proceedings etc.”
There is also a provision of imprisonment from 3 months to 2 years.
“The Garhwa administration will go very strict with such derelict or negligent of election work,” reminded Jamuar.
Jamuar is known for his strict actions as once when he was the DDC Palamu he had taken many to task for wrong doing here in Palamu.
