Goa, Feb 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part in the ‘Viksit Bharat, Viksit Goa 2047’ event on Tuesday, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for projects totalling more than Rs 1330 crore.
NIT Goa
The National Institute of Technology Goa’s permanent campus was dedicated to the country by PM Modi.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the newly constructed campus has a number of amenities to meet the needs of the Institute’s faculty, staff, and students, including a sports field, tutorial complex, departmental complex, seminar complex, administrative complex, hostels, health centre, staff quarters, and amenity centre.

National Institute of Watersports
The National Institute of Watersports’ new campus was also dedicated by the prime minister. In order to promote the growth of watersports and water rescue operations that serve the general population as well as the armed services, the institute will launch 28 specially designed courses.
Waste management facility
In South Goa, the prime minister inaugurated a 100 TPD integrated waste management facility. According to the PMO, it has been planned for the scientific treatment of 40 TPD of dry waste and 60 TPD of wet waste. It also contains a 500 KW solar power plant that produces extra electricity.
Passenger Ropeway project
The Prime Minister marked the commencement of the Passenger Ropeway project, coupled with related tourism ventures, connecting Panaji and Reis Magos by laying its foundation stone. He also initiated the foundation stone laying ceremony for the construction of a 100 MLD Water Treatment Plant in South Goa.Top of Form
Rozgar Mela
In addition, he gave sanction letters to recipients of various welfare schemes and appointment orders to 1930 new government recruits across several departments at the Rozgar Mela.
