Ranchi, Dec 2: Bharat Bharti, a socio-cultural organisation working for national integration, will celebrate Jharkhand Day at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University (DSPMU) auditorium on Sunday from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Cultural presentations will be performed by 12 cultural groups of people from different states living in Ranchi. Governor CP Radhakrishnan will be the chief guest of the programme while Dr B Veera Reddy, CMD of Central Coalfields Limited and DSPMU Vice Chancellor Prof Tapan Kumar Shandilya will participate as special guests.
Vinay Patrale, National Executive President of Bharat Bharti, said that the purpose of the programme is to develop bonds of affection among people speaking different languages living in one city.

“Every major city of India is emerging as a miniature version of India today. With the objective of developing bonds of affection among people speaking different languages living in one city, awakening the spirit of friendship, all citizens should experience this virtuous flow of culture expressed through various celebrations, festivals, dance, art, tradition etc,” he said.
“Different societies from different provinces living in the same city should come together and realize the concept of Mini India, the fog of narrow regionalism should be dispelled with the light of mutual harmony, people should connect with each other, connect with the soil of the country and people should awaken the feeling of devotion towards India, this is the aim of Bharat Bharti. For this purpose, people of all the states are celebrating Jharkhand Day together, with a delay of a fortnight,” he added.
