New Delhi, March 1: India’s gross GST revenue in February 2025 surged by 9.1% year-on-year to approximately ₹1.84 lakh crore, according to official data released on Saturday.

Net GST collections for the month stood at around ₹1.63 lakh crore, reflecting an 8.1% increase compared to the previous year.

The rise in total revenue was driven by a 10.2% increase in domestic GST collections, which amounted to ₹1.42 lakh crore, while revenue from imports saw a 5.4% uptick, reaching ₹41,702 crore.

In comparison, February 2024 recorded gross GST revenues of ₹1.68 lakh crore and net collections of ₹1.50 lakh crore.

Breaking down the February 2025 GST figures, Central GST contributed ₹35,204 crore, State GST stood at ₹43,704 crore, Integrated GST reached ₹90,870 crore, and compensation cess amounted to ₹13,868 crore.

Refunds issued during the month totaled ₹20,889 crore, marking a 17.3% increase from the same period last year.
