Habit of consuming negative news damages brain: Experts

Dhanbad, Feb 22: The habit of consuming too much negative news damages the brain, CME India Group expert physicians have revealed.

In its latest research revelation, CME India Group has alerted people about eight new habits of their routine life that damage their brains.

These eight new habits are consuming too much negative news, poor sleeping habits, staying in the dark too much, barely moving throughout the day, blasting headphones on full volume, screening TV too much and consuming sugar too much.

CME India Group editor and national executive member of the Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) Dr NK Singh said that though comprehensive surveys on this field have not been conducted at the national level by authorised agencies so far, case studies have revealed these alarming factors.

It has been found that people have developed a habit of screening negative news for hours which causes stress and leads to damage brain.

“All these 8 factors have been taken seriously and definitely we will discuss it at the national conference of the Association of Physicians of India (API) to be held shortly”, said Dr Singh.

Dr Singh said sitting before the TV for more than four hours leads to different ailments and complications. Obesity, hypertension, stress and others develop from these new habits. “CME India Group would launch awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the prevention of these 8 bad habits”, said Dr Singh.

Poor sleeping, using headphones at full volume and consuming too much sugar have also been found as major factors which damage the brain.
