Jamshedpur, May 9: According to the latest weather update, Jharkhand is set to experience a mix of heat and localized rainfall over the coming days.

While light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places across the north-eastern parts of the state, a gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius is expected over the next five days.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heat wave alert for several districts. On May 10, isolated areas in Deoghar, Jamtara, Dumka, Pakur, Godda, and Sahibganj are likely to experience heat wave conditions.

By May 11, the heat wave is expected to affect Giridih, Jamtara, Deoghar, Dumka, Pakur, Godda, and Sahibganj districts.

The prevailing weather conditions are influenced by an east-west trough extending from a cyclonic circulation over northwest Madhya Pradesh to north Chhattisgarh, passing through east Madhya Pradesh at around 0.9 Km above mean sea level.
