Ranchi, Dec 30: BJP state president and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi has strongly criticized the Hemant Soren government over the rising crime in Jharkhand.
Marandi stated that, according to data released by the State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB), 1,400 people have been murdered between January and October this year. Among the victims are not only ordinary citizens but also police officers, advocates, and public representatives who have been killed prematurely.

He expressed concern that the crime rate in Jharkhand is increasing at an alarming rate. “Maintaining law and order is the responsibility of the state government, but Chief Minister Hemant Soren is failing to ensure the safety of citizens,” he added.
Marandi emphasised that the growing crime in Jharkhand is instilling fear in the minds of common people. He warned that if immediate and concrete measures are not taken, the situation in the state could become even more dire.
He urged the state government and the police administration to act decisively and implement strong measures with determination to bring the crime under control.
