Ranchi, Nov 16: A grand “Silver Celebration” was organised at Morabadi Ground, Ranchi, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Jharkhand’s establishment. Chief Minister Hemant Soren, MLA Kalpana Soren, and their family members participated in the event and celebrated the state’s historic milestone with thousands of citizens. The Chief Minister expressed deep respect for Jharkhand’s heritage, cultural pride, and vibrant traditions that define the state’s identity.
The cultural stage of the Silver Celebration became a major confluence of Jharkhand’s rich art, folk traditions, and tribal heritage, bringing together artists from across the state.

Traditional Performances Display Jharkhand’s Cultural Diversity
A grand cultural presentation showcased Jharkhand’s traditional art forms and folk culture. Artists performed a wide range of local styles, including Akhara Jagan (Jhumar), Santhali, Kadsa, Kharia, Mundari, Nagpuri, Ghora, Paika, Saraikela Chhau, and Manbhum Chhau.
These performances kept the audience captivated and highlighted the linguistic and cultural diversity that makes Jharkhand unique.

“Smriti”: Tribute to Dishom Guru Shibu Soren Becomes the Emotional Core
The theatrical presentation “Smriti”, based on the life and biography of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, emerged as the emotional and inspiring centrepiece of the Silver Jubilee program.
The play portrayed significant moments from Guruji’s life—his struggles, leadership qualities, dedication to social reforms, educational upliftment, and his lifelong efforts to empower tribal communities.
Artists vividly brought to life his journey, fight for identity, and mission to bring social change. The powerful acting and dialogue evoked deep reverence and admiration from the audience, making it one of the most memorable segments of the evening.

Drone Show and Star-Studded Musical Performances Steal the Spotlight
A spectacular drone show highlighted Jharkhand’s historical journey and cultural heritage, crafting stunning shapes and visuals in the night sky. The display drew immense applause from spectators.

The stage then came alive with performances by Tom Murmu and Band, Indian Idol fame Shagun Pathak, and celebrated Bollywood singer Shilpa Rao, whose melodious renditions kept the audience entertained until late into the night. The entire venue was filled with joy as people danced to Jharkhandi folk rhythms and music.
The “Silver Celebration”—rooted deeply in the spirit of Jharkhand’s unity, identity, and cultural pride—sent a strong message encouraging citizens to stay connected to their roots.
