New Delhi, May 17: In a key step towards preparing for the FIH Junior Women’s World Cup in December, Hockey India on Saturday announced a 24-member squad set to compete in the Four Nations Tournament in Rosario, Argentina.

The event, running from May 25 to June 2, will see India face Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay twice each, allowing the team to test strategies and refine combinations ahead of the global showdown.

Goalkeeper Nidhi will lead the squad, with forward Hina Bano named vice-captain. The team’s lineup features a balanced mix across all positions. Engil Harsha Rani Minz joins Nidhi as the second goalkeeper, while Vidyashree V is on standby.
The defensive lineup includes Mamita Oram, Lalthantluangi, Manisha, Puja Sahoo, Parwati Topno, Nandini, and Sakshi Shukla.
In midfield, the team will rely on Priyanka Yadav, Anisha Sahu, Rajni Kerketta, Binima Dhan, Khaidem Shileima Chanu, Sanjana Horo, Supriya Kujur, and Priyanka Dogra. Huda Khan and Munmuni Das have been kept as reserve midfielders.

The forward line is packed with talent including Hina Bano, Sonam, Sukhveer Kaur, Geeta Yadav, Lalrinpuii, Kanika Siwach, and Karmanpreet Kaur. Selestina Horo is the standby in the attacking lineup.
The tournament will offer a valuable opportunity for the Indian juniors to assess their form and sharpen their game against competitive international teams.
