Dhanbad, Feb 18: Deepak Kumar Verma (IPS) from Hazaribagh and K. Prabhakar Rao from Jamshedpur have been re-elected as the president and secretary, respectively, of the Jharkhand Badminton Association (JBA) at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Hazaribagh.

Suresh Lal Ram has been appointed as the treasurer of the newly formed committee. Additionally, a new executive body has been elected, with the names of other office bearers to be announced later, according to association officials.

The re-elected leadership has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening badminton in Jharkhand by enhancing structured training programs, improving infrastructure, and encouraging greater participation of young talent in national and international tournaments.

A senior JBA member stated that the re-election of Verma and Rao reflects the members’ confidence in their leadership.

“Under their leadership, the Jharkhand Badminton Association aims to position the state as a formidable force in Indian badminton,” he added.
