Dhanbad, Dec 16: IIT Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad, organized the ‘Nurturing Future Leadership’ (NFL) course under the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme, focusing on fostering leadership skills among educators. The event took place at the FDC Conference Hall.
Prof. Dheeraj Kumar, Deputy Director of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, served as the chief guest and inaugurated the program.
In his inaugural address, Prof. Kumar emphasized the pivotal role of teacher training in transforming the future of education. He stated that leadership development initiatives like the NFL course empower educators to excel in their roles with vision and purpose.

Prof. Mrinalini Pandey, Coordinator of the NFL Programme, highlighted the significance of this initiative in advancing educational standards. She noted that the program aligns with IIT (ISM) Dhanbad’s dedication to excellence in education and the broader objectives of the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme.
She said that his programme brought together educators, academic leaders, and stakeholders from reputed institutions, including BHU Varanasi, EFLU Hyderabad, Central University of Kashmir, Central Sanskrit University, IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT Jodhpur, Kazi Nazrul University, Sidho-Kanho-Birsa University, Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad, and others.
Prof. Pandey added, “The program will continue to inspire and develop the leadership potential of educators, contributing to national growth and educational innovation.”
