IIT ISM deputy director Prof Dheeraj Kumar said signing of the MoU marks the consolidation of a true partnership. The timing of the MoU is right. We must seize the opportunity to harness the exploration momentum, what we term as- Exploration 4.0. “The event marks the beginning of a renewed partnership and long-term collaboration between our institutions,“ said the deputy director.

“It is building on the past cooperation which resulted in a few tangible outcomes and now with TEXMiN, certainly it would be a milestone for both the institutions,” said Prof Dheeraj Kumar.

TEXMin chief executive officer (CEO) Suraj Prakash observed that the declaration of partnership commitment comes at an opportune moment. Prospects for India’s mineral exploration are attracting widespread attention following implementation of a joint comprehensive plan of action between the exploration agencies.

“Indeed, this agreement with MOIL is a significant milestone in our ongoing collaboration towards
development of AI/ML/Deep Learning based non-destructive technologies for mineral exploration,” Prakash further said.
