Jamshedpur, Nov 27: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre today declared the complete onset of winter in Jharkhand.
Winter declared after min. temp. drops below 13 degrees Celcius
Weathermen said the minimum temperature has dropped below 13 degrees Celsius in Ranchi, Jamshedpur and several other places.
Usually, IMD declares the onset of winter when the minimum temperature records below 13 degrees Celsius for two to three consecutive days.
The wind pattern has also changed to north-westerly resulting in crisp and cold weather conditions.

Cyclonic circulation
A cyclonic circulation also lies over central parts of north Madhya Pradesh between 1.5 and 3.1 km above mean sea level.
A cyclonic circulation lies over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of north Odisha-West Bengal coasts between 3.1 and 4.5 km above mean sea level.
Dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24 hours.
Daltonganj records min. and max. temp.
The highest maximum temperature of 29.4°C was recorded at Daltonganj whereas Daltonganj also recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 11.7°C in the past two days.
