New Delhi, July 29: Opposition MPs from the INDIA bloc staged a fresh protest in Parliament complex on Tuesday, demanding an immediate stop to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in poll-bound Bihar.
Lawmakers displayed posters depicting Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaining Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to himself, accusing the government of manipulating the process.
The demonstration, which has been continuing since the start of the monsoon session on July 21, saw participation from several prominent leaders, including Congress MPs Gaurav Gogoi, Manickam Tagore and Hibi Eden, DMK’s Kanimozhi, JMM’s Mahua Maji and RJD’s Manoj Jha.

The opposition has consistently opposed the revision drive, alleging that it undermines the fairness of the upcoming elections.
