Indian men’s team defeated by Netherlands in FIH Hockey5s World Cup quarter finals

Muscat, Jan 30: In the quarterfinals of the ongoing FIH Hockey5s Men’s World Cup 2024 in Muscat on Tuesday, the Indian men’s hockey team was defeated 4–7 by the Netherlands.

Mohammed Raheel completed a hat-trick by scoring in the 1st, 7th, and 25th minutes, and Mandeep Mor also contributed a goal for India at the 11th minute.

Sander de Wijn scored twice at the 4th and 15th minutes, Alexander Schop also secured a brace at the 10th and 26th minutes for the Netherlands. Additionally, goals were contributed by Lucas Middendorp (12′), Jamie van Aart (13′), and Pepijn Reyenga (20′).

Later in the day, India will take against Kenya in the game for fifth to eighth position.
