According to the police, the seized ganja had been transported from Odisha and was allegedly being routed to Bihar and Varanasi through an interstate trafficking network.

The operation was launched after Sitaramdera police received a tip-off around 8.15 pm on Sunday. Acting on the information, a special raiding team was formed under the direction of the Senior Superintendent of Police.
