Jamshedpur, Oct 17: The second Asia Pacific Yogasana Sports Championship 2025, organized under the aegis of the World Fitness Federation (WFF) of Yogasana Sports International, concluded at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The prestigious event, held from October 13 to 16, witnessed participants from several countries competing for top honours in various categories of Yogasana sports.

The championship was inaugurated by WFF World President Graeme Lancefield, who lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the beginning of the event. The inauguration ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including WFF India President Dheeraj Mohan Lal, WFFYSI President Shivam Bhadoria, WFFYSIOD Ritu Rawat, and WFFYS India President Anshu Sarkar.

From India, four participants hailing from Jamshedpur, represented the nation on the international stage. Among them, Smiki Sarkar brought laurels to the city by securing the second position in the Master Group “A” category. Her graceful performance and precision earned appreciation from judges and fellow participants alike.

Alongside Smiki, other young talents from Jamshedpur also performed admirably. Aaradhya Choudhary bagged fifth place in the Sub Junior Girls Group “A,” Siddharth Sanan achieved fourth place in the Traditional Boys Group “A,” and Anvya Ayesha won third place in the Sub Junior Girls Group “B.” Their collective success made the Indian contingent proud and highlighted the growing prominence of Yogasana sports in Jharkhand.

Speaking after the event, Anshu Sarkar, President of the World Fitness Federation of Yogasana Sports India, congratulated all the winners for their outstanding performances. He lauded the participants for their dedication and discipline and encouraged them to continue their journey with greater focus to bring further glory to the country.

“These achievements reflect India’s growing strength in Yogasana as a competitive sport. I am confident our young athletes will continue to make the nation proud at the global level,” he said.
