ECRKU additional general secretary cum Dhanbad Rail Division Permanent Negotiating  Machinery (PNM) in-charge Md Ziauddin said that the Union had been requesting the management for a long time to revert the AC& |Train lighting branch to the electrical department from the mechanical department.

“It was a major issue, and ECRKU president DK Pandey and general secretary SNP Srivastava had raised it in every meeting with the general manager. Finally, the long pending demand has been fulfilled,” said Md Ziauddin.

Notably, the AC & Train Lighting branch was in the electrical department and was put under the mechanical department. But in 2019, at the request of the Federation, the Railway Board reverted to the electrical department.
