Cut Motion Remained Limited to Hatia and Ranchi: Sudivya

While discussing the budget, Minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu remarked that the capital is a reflection of the state. He took a jibe at the BJP, stating that for 17 years during their 25 years of rule, Ranchi was like Paris. But now, under the Hemant government, Ranchi is now Ranchi. He pointed out that these cuts in the proposal have remained limited to Ranchi and Hatiya.

“Looked at your own face in the mirror,” Sonu further questioned. He asked, “The Khel Gaon was made well, who was Manhart (consulting agency)? What was the issue? What harm did Manhart do to Ranchi? The people of Jharkhand were deceived.”

Meanwhile, CP Singh spoke about the 27% reservation for OBCs, stating that it was passed with unanimous consent.

Electricity Costs and Tariff Proposal

Sudivya Kumar Sonu stated that the power distribution corporation has proposed a new electricity tariff. Under the power exchange system, expensive electricity must be purchased during peak hours. The Godda Power Plant contributed 25% of the supply.

To accommodate the purchase of costly electricity, a tariff hike proposal is submitted, which is then reviewed by the Jharkhand Electricity Regulatory Commission. He also mentioned that 200 units of electricity have been made free.

He added that During the BJP’s rule, 44,000 streetlights were installed, but a physical verification later revealed that 18,000 of them were untraceable.

He also praised the previous government for imposing a ban on cattle slaughter, stating that such a measure should be implemented across the country.
