Dhanbad, Oct 17: The Rashtriya Jankranti Morcha (RJM), a regional political party, has announced its decision to field candidates in four assembly seats across three districts in the North Chhotanagpur Division for the upcoming assembly elections.
During a media briefing on Thursday, RJM central committee president Moulana Abdul Mobin Rizvi highlighted the changing political landscape in Jharkhand, which has prompted the party to contest these four seats.
The constituencies where RJM will be contesting include Tundi (Dhanbad), Dumri, Bagodar (Giridih), and Mandu (Hazaribagh).

He also revealed the party’s first candidate: Kalawati Devi, who will contest from the Tundi assembly constituency in Dhanbad.
Abdul Mobin Rijvi emphasized that RJM is part of the third front formed under the leadership of veteran politician Surya Singh Besra. He refuted allegations that the party is entering the electoral fray merely to siphon votes from the ruling alliance.
“We are contesting the election for the protection of Jharkhand’s minorities, Dalits, women, tribal communities, and other weaker sections of society, aiming to create a corruption-free Jharkhand,” he stated.
The media briefing also saw the presence of General Secretary Ashok Jain, along with party members Gulam Rabbani, Mustaque Kalakar, Md Jamal Ansari, Md Munajir Hassan, and others.
