Dhanbad, February 15: 47-member probable men’s and women’s Jharkhand badminton teams of different age groups for the Panchkula (Haryana) National Badminton championship have been announced.

Giving this information, Jharkhand Badminton Association general secretary K Prabhakar Rao said that players had been selected based on their performance in the Jharkhand Master Badminton Championship, which concluded at Indoor Stadium Khelgaon last week.

The winner and runner-up of each age group event will represent the state in the national championship.

The National Master men’s and women’s badminton championship will be held at Panchkula (Haryana) from March 16 to 23.

Players selected for different age groups are:

Men’s singles 35+ – Deepak Kumar (Ranchi), Upendra Kumar Mishra, Women’s Singles 35+ Sarla Murmu,

Men’s 35+ doubles- Amar Jyoti Bose (Jamshedpur), Sanju Kumar (Ranchi).

35+ mixed doubles- Sanju Kumar – Sarla Murmu.

Men’s singles 40+ – Sanju Kumar, Satya Prakash (Ranchi).

Men’s doubles 40+ – Abhinav Rao (Ranchi), Saurabh Suman (Ranchi), mixed doubles 40+ Amit Gill, Sunita Tandasi.

Men’s singles 45+ – Ravi Kumar Sharma (Dhanbad), Pawan Kumar.

Women’s Singles 45+ – Uma Rani Palit (Ranchi), Suchita Arya.

Men’s doubles 45+ – Moharlal Oraon, Pawan Kumar.

Above 50+ singles – Jitendra Sharma (Jamshedpur), Shiv Kumar Bhagat

Women’s 50+ singles- Sandhya Srivastava

Men’s doubles 50+ – Rajesh Choudhary, SB Sharma (Ranchi),

Mixed doubles 50+ – Dilip Tirkey, Emaculate Lakra.

Men’s singles 55+ – Lolas Kerketta, Satyen Anand

Men’s 55+ doubles- AV Bilung, Lolas Kerketta

Men’s singles 60+ – Y Jaggi (Hazaribag), Parimal Kumar Singh

Women’s 60+ – Tara Muni Tuti

Men’s doubles 60+ – Rakho Hari, Y Jaggi.

Mixed doubles 60+ – Ajit Kumar Rana, Tara Muni Tuti
