Ranchi, July 15: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday paid heartfelt tributes to former state minister Mannan Mallick, describing his death as an irreparable loss to the state and its public life.
Chief Minister Soren, accompanied by his wife and Gandey MLA Kalpana Soren, visited the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, where they laid a floral wreath on Mallick’s mortal remains and offered their respects.
Expressing profound grief over Mallick’s demise, Soren said the veteran politician had devoted his life to public service and consistently championed the concerns of the people, particularly those from Dhanbad.
“With his passing, Jharkhand has lost an experienced public representative and a leader deeply committed to social causes. His death is an irreparable loss, and he will always be remembered,” the Chief Minister said.
He also prayed to Marang Buru to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family, supporters and well-wishers to bear the loss.
Chief Minister Meets Bereaved Family
Following the tribute, Hemant Soren and Kalpana Soren met the late leader’s family members and conveyed their condolences.
The Chief Minister offered words of comfort to the grieving family and assured them of his support during the difficult time.
Mannan Mallick Dies After Prolonged Illness
Former Jharkhand Minister Mannan Mallick had been undergoing treatment for some time and passed away on Tuesday morning at a private hospital in Ranchi.
His death has prompted condolences from political leaders across party lines, who have remembered him for his long association with public life and his contributions to Jharkhand’s political and social landscape.
