Ranchi, Nov. 22: Mohammad Naseem of Birsa Munda Central Jail Ranchi, who had been interrogated by the ED a few days back, has been transferred to Central Jail Medininagar.
He has been replaced by Giridih Central Jail Jailer Pramod Kumar.
The ED had interrogated Md Naseem for allegedly conspiring against the central agency sleuths and influencing the witnesses of mining and land scams a few days back.
In a notification issued by the office of the Inspector General of Prisons on Wednesday, jailers of Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Khunti, Dumka, Palamu and Giridih have been transferred. According to the notification, Mohammad Naseem will now be the jailer of Medininagar Central Jail, Palamu. At the same time, Anjay Kumar Srivastava of Ghaghidih Central Jail of Jamshedpur has been transferred. He has been made the jailer of Garhwa Mandal Jail. Ramashankar Prasad of Khunti Upkara has been given the responsibility of jailer of Central Jail Dumka. Subodh Kumar Pandey, who is currently the jailer of Dumka Central Jail, has been transferred and made the jailer of Giridih Central Jail. Dharamsheela Devi, who was the jailer of Medininagar Central Jail, Palamu, has been given the responsibility of jailer of Ghaghidih Central Jail, Jamshedpur.
