Ranchi, June 13: Chief Minister Champai Soren today read out the riot act to the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) to complete the ongoing recruitment process to give 35,000 jobs to the State’s unemployed youth by September.
Holding a review meeting with the top officials, including JSSC Chairman Prashant Kumar, Soren directed them to complete the selection process within the time limit.
He said that whatever calendar the commission releases, the competitive examinations should be conducted according to that.
JSSC lists categories of jobs on cards
The JSSC chairman, on the occasion, said that the appointment process is going on for about 35,000 posts from the Commission.
This includes 1868 posts of postgraduate trained teacher competitive examination, 153 posts of Jharkhand diploma level joint competitive examination, 921 posts of Jharkhand Nagar Palika Service Cadre joint competitive examination, 904 posts of training officer competitive examination in various trades of Jharkhand Industrial Training Service, 11,000 posts of Jharkhand elementary school trained assistant teacher joint competitive examination intermediate level, 15001 posts of Jharkhand elementary school trained assistant teacher joint competitive examination graduate level, 488 posts of female supervisor competitive examination, 2025 posts of Jharkhand general graduate qualification holder joint competitive examination and 2532 posts of Jharkhand Para Medical joint competitive examination.

Vacant posts should be filled as soon as possible
The Chief Minister said that the government is committed to connecting the youth with employment. “In such a situation, whatever vacancies are there in government departments and the posts to be appointed, the selection process for that should be started as soon as possible,” he said and added that the government’s appointment rules and roster should be followed in all appointments.
No irregularities will be tolerated regarding appointments
The Chief Minister said that whatever competitive examinations are conducted by the JSSC, complete confidentiality and transparency should be maintained. “Any kind of irregularity will not be tolerated in this. If incidents like paper leaks occur, then strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty,” he warned.
Jobs for Excise Constables and constables
The Chief Minister told the Director General of Police and the Chairman of JSSC that the process should be started immediately for 580 posts through the Jharkhand Excise Constable Competitive Examination and 4919 posts of the Jharkhand Constable Competitive Examination.
The DGP said that the physical efficiency test of the candidates of the Jharkhand Excise Constable Competitive Examination will start this month. “On completion of its process, the list of successful candidates will be made available to the JSSC,” he added.
The Chief Minister gave clear instructions to use modern technology for transparency and monitoring in the physical efficiency test of the candidates of the Jharkhand Excise Constable and Jharkhand Constable Competitive Examination.
Chief Secretary L. Khiangte, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Avinash Kumar, Principal Secretary, Home, Vandana Dadel, Director General of Police Ajay Kumar Singh, Chairman of Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Prashant Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Arwa Rajkamal, ADG RK Mallick, Secretary of School Education and Literacy Department Umashankar Singh and officials of the Personnel Department were present in this high-level meeting.
