New Delhi, July 15: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren paid a visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday.

Hemant Soren was arrested on January 31 by the Enforcement Directorate on January 31 in the land scam case. He resigned from his position as Chief Minister before his arrest.

On June 28, he walked out of jail after the Jharkhand High Court granted him bail. The court found that the evidence did not support any claims of Hemant Soren’s involvement.
On July 3, the INDI Alliance MLAs and leaders at a meeting decided to replace Champai Soren with Hemant Soren as the Chief Minister. Subsequently, Hemant Soren took oath as Chief Minister of Jharkhand on July 4.
On July 8, he won the trust vote in the Jharkhand Assembly with 45 MLAs supporting him.
