Ranchi, Jan 25: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today unveiled a significant step toward promoting tourism in Jharkhand by inaugurating a newly built eco-friendly resort at the Masanjore Dam complex, located on the Mayurakshi River in Dumka district.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted Jharkhand’s potential for tourism, emphasizing the government’s commitment to the development and beautification of tourist destinations. He noted that the state is actively working to enhance tourism-related facilities, aiming to attract more visitors to Jharkhand.

The eco-friendly resort at Masanjore Dam complex features:
- 25 Cottages: 10 premium and 15 deluxe, built using durable SPF wood for an attractive and sustainable design.
- Facilities: A gym, parking space, and a cafeteria for visitors’ convenience.
- Speed Boating: Tourists can enjoy water activities like speed boating.
The resort’s construction enhances the appeal of the Masanjore Dam as a tourist destination, offering comfort and convenience to visitors while boosting the site’s identity and recognition in the tourism sector.
