Ranchi, Oct 5: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today dedicated the newly constructed building of 500-bed MGM College and Hospital in Jamshedpur.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the hospital located in Tata City was in the service of the public for years. “Due to being years old, its condition was getting dilapidated. In such a situation, as per the decision of the state government, a new medical college and hospital will be in service of the people of Kolhan from today,” he said.
Food, clothing, shelter and employment
The chief minister said that our government has been continuously trying to provide food, clothing and shelter to the people here since the beginning.
“A large number of people of Jharkhand go to other states for employment, so our government made a law that 75% of the local youth will have to be employed in the industries set up here. The youth here also got the benefit of this law. Nowadays our young men and women have got employment opportunities in the private sector,” he pointed out.
He said that our government has done the work of giving respect to the women of the state. “Financial assistance is being transferred to the accounts of women under the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiyaan Samman Yojana,” he added.
“If the Central Government provides Rs 1 lakh 36 thousand crore, then Rs 3 lakh will be sent to the accounts of women,” he maintained.
Problems of MGM students
The chief minister said that the students studying at MGM Medical College have applied regarding their problems. “I would like to tell them that this matter has reached our ears today. Within a month their problems will start getting resolved,” he assured.
What does the newly constructed building for MGM hospital offer?
★ This innovative construction spread over 30 acres of land area was inaugurated in October 2020 by Larsen & Toubro Electric Company.
★ In this ambitious project prepared for Rs 376 crores, a main building of 7 floors has been built for medical facilities, which has a total of three blocks.
★ A group of buildings for administrative personnel is built on the campus itself. Out of 30 acres, construction work has been done on a total of 10 lakh square feet, in which medical service-related buildings have been constructed in 7 lakh square feet.
★ A separate building has been constructed for the residence of about 140 nursing staff. The campus has been well decorated with adequate parking arrangements and all other facilities.
★ In Block-1 of the main medical building, facilities for respiratory problems, skin diseases, intensive care unit, dialysis, surgery, medical treatment, separate paediatric wards for boys and girls and outpatient medical services will be available.
★ Parking, fire control room, security services and CCTV room have been built in this block.
★ In Block 1-2, mainly the operation theatre, lecture hall on the lower floor and all types of investigation facilities, blood bank, and post-operation services have been arranged.
★ In Block-3, structures have been created with modern facilities of Mental Health, ENT, Eye, Burn Ward, Gynaecology, Orthopedics etc. along with Radiology, External Orthopedics Service, Dental Service, X-Ray etc.
