Ranchi, Dec. 11: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said his government got the 1932-based job policy passed by the Assembly for the rights of tribals and natives.
“But legal hurdles were deliberately put in it by the Opposition. However, our efforts for the 1932-based job policy will continue,” he reiterated.
Soren was speaking at the ‘Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar’ programme organized at Sonabad in Chas, Bokaro.
The chief minister said that his government is working for the people not by sitting in Delhi, Ranchi or in an air conditioner, but by reaching every village.
“No one had thought that the government would reach the doorsteps of the people of the state, but today officials from every village are reaching the doorsteps of the people with schemes,” he pointed out.
Pension to 37 lakhs
The chief minister said that only after the formation of the state, all the needy were to be linked to the pension scheme. “But before 2019, the elderly, destitute and disabled people kept longing for pensions. Till the year 2019, only 15 lakh people were being given pension benefits in the state. Our government did the work of giving pensions to 37 lakh people in just four years,” he said.
Soren, on this occasion, inaugurated 15 schemes worth Rs 4923.29 lakh and laid the foundation stone of 193 schemes worth Rs 11,898.59 lakh.
20 lakh Kisan credit cards
“Before the year 2019, no one did the work of wiping the tears of the farmers but instead, the work was done to make them cry. In the last 20 years after the formation of the state, 08 lakh farmers were linked to KCC. Our government covered 20 lakh farmers with Kisan Credit Card (KCC) in 04 years,” he said.
Government support to daughters
The chief minister said that the objective of Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana is to keep the daughters of the state connected with education. “For this, about eight lakh daughters of the state have been linked to the scheme. The government was also supporting their higher education,” he said.
Soren said that it has been decided to implement the Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme. “This will facilitate the students of the state to get education in Engineering, Medical, Law, Research etc. Loan up to Rs 15 lakh will be available. The state government will become the guarantor for this. The government is trying to ensure the availability of quality education as per the education system with time,” he added.
