Ranchi, April 14: Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Gupta today chaired a comprehensive review meeting in Chaibasa, West Singhbhum district, to assess and strategize the ongoing anti-Naxal operations.

The meeting brought together senior officials from the Jharkhand Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Jharkhand Jaguar (Special Task Force), and other key security agencies.
DGP Gupta highlighted that 95% of Jharkhand’s Naxal problem has been addressed, with the remaining challenges concentrated in the West Singhbhum region. He emphasized the need for intensified operations and enhanced coordination among various security forces to eliminate the residual Naxal presence.

The review focused on ground realities, operational strategies, and the area’s geographical complexities. Discussions also covered the forces’ morale, infrastructure strengthening, and the implementation of effective guidelines to ensure the success of the operations.
This meeting underscores the state’s commitment to achieving a Naxal-free Jharkhand, with concerted efforts aimed at restoring peace and fostering development in the affected regions.
