Dhanbad, Jan 20: Dhanbad POCSO Court today awarded 21 years’ jail sentence and slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on an accused identified as Ikram Ansari alias Bikram Hembram (24), resident of Tundi block in a minor rape case.
The Public Prosecutor said that the special judge Prabhakar Singh of POCSO Court held accused Ikram Ansari guilty in four years old case on Thursday and announced the quantum of punishment today.

The FIR was filed at the Tundi police station in June 2019 against Ikram Ansari, a resident of Karmatand, Tundi block of the district.
As per charges, Ikram Ansari developed a friendship with a girl through mobile phone identifying himself as a tribal youth Bikram Hembram.
After getting the confidence of the girl Ikram Ansari on June 5, 2019, took her away on his bike in the name of college but carried her into a jungle and committed the crime.
