Jamshedpur, Nov 23: In a major breakthrough against crime, the police nabbed five criminals with three pistols by raiding two separate places under the Sakchi Thana area on Thursday evening.
Those in the police net now were reportedly hatching a conspiracy to commit some grievous crime in the area.
Acting on a tip-off, a police party first raided an empty residential quarter behind Rajendra Vidyalaya where two youths were caught with three pistols.
Later, on the interrogation of the arrested persons, the police swooped over a place behind Sakchi mosque from where three bike-borne youths were nabbed.

According to police, all five were members of a criminal gang which waited to commit some crime.
A senior police officer confirmed about the arrest of the five criminals with firearms from two different locations in Sakchi.
“Those taken in police custody are being interrogated about the intention behind the gathering in an empty residential quarter and from near the Sakchi mosque”, said the police officer, adding that details about the arrested persons, including their names and their criminal antecedents will be revealed only after the interrogation is over.
