Ranchi, June 5: Ahead of President Droupadi Murmu’s two-day visit to Deoghar on June 10-11, Jharkhand Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari chaired a high-level review meeting on Thursday to oversee preparations. President Murmu is scheduled to offer prayers at Baba Baidyanath Dham temple and attend the first convocation of AIIMS Deoghar during her stay.

Emphasising the importance of the visit, the Chief Secretary instructed all departments to ensure that every arrangement is completed meticulously and on time. She specifically directed officials to maintain uninterrupted power supply and enhance cleanliness on the routes the President will travel, including the maintenance of lamp posts and road infrastructure.

Security and Coordination Plans in Place
DGP Anurag Gupta informed that security arrangements for the President would be overseen by four IPS officers and coordinated with officials from the Intelligence Bureau and Special Branch.
Commercial Tax Secretary Amitabh Kaushal has been appointed as the nodal officer for overall arrangements, while the Department of Information and Public Relations will manage the public address system.
Detailed Planning for Ceremonial, Logistical Arrangements and Hospitality
The review covered all aspects of the visit, including stage setup, nomination of nodal officers for each event, and protocols at Deoghar Airport, Baba Mandir, and AIIMS. Discussions included arrangements for red carpet welcome, bouquet presentation, national anthem, motorcade planning, outriders, open jeeps for photographers, and baggage handling staff.

Officials also finalised plans for adequate security coverage from the airport to the guest house, temple, and AIIMS. Responsibilities were clearly allocated for sound systems, seating arrangements, and the list of dignitaries who will be present at different venues.

Provisions for accommodation and meals for the President’s entourage were confirmed, along with arrangements for medical support, drinking water, toilets, and fire safety at all programme locations.

The Chief Secretary reiterated that every effort should be made to ensure a smooth, respectful, and memorable visit by the President.
