Ranchi, April 4: Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar inaugurated the International Conference 2025 at Gossner College, Ranchi, on the theme “Developed India @ 2047: Charting Multidisciplinary and Multi-Institutional Pathways for Inclusive Growth and Global Leadership.”

Addressing the gathering, Governor Gangwar emphasized that the vision of a developed India extends beyond economic progress and encompasses cultural richness, social harmony, and scientific innovation.

He highlighted that India’s greatest strength lies in its young population and stressed the need to encourage them toward innovation, startups, research, and entrepreneurship.

India’s Global Aspirations and Government Initiatives

The Governor underscored key national initiatives such as Developed India @ 2047, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Make in India, Digital India, and Vocal for Local, stating that these campaigns are not only fostering self-reliance but also propelling India toward global leadership.

He pointed out that India has emerged as the world’s third-largest startup hub, with its innovations driving global transformation. Urging educational institutions to rethink their approach, he called for a shift from merely producing job seekers to nurturing job creators through a more entrepreneurial-oriented education system.

Emphasizing Research, Local Industries, and Self-Reliance

Governor Gangwar highlighted the importance of originality in research, asserting that academic knowledge should extend beyond textbooks to provide practical, society-driven solutions and innovations that will pave the way for a developed India.

He also stressed the need to promote local industries, handicrafts, khadi, and agriculture-based enterprises, suggesting that India has the potential to become a Global Manufacturing Hub by effectively integrating traditional knowledge with modern technology.

Expressing optimism about the conference, he urged that its discussions should not remain limited to academic deliberations but should lead to concrete policy recommendations that contribute to nation-building.
