Ranchi, Nov. 28: At a grand ceremony at Morabadi Ground, Chief Minister Hemant Soren marked one year of his government’s second term by distributing 8,792 appointment letters to newly selected candidates. The event drew thousands and became a strong message of the government’s commitment to employment, opportunity, and youth-centred development—core electoral promises made during the campaign.
A Celebration of Jobs, Hope, and Youth Empowerment
Morabadi Ground glowed with lights and energy as the state-level anniversary programme unfolded. For many, the day felt more like a celebration of hope than a government function. As each young candidate received their appointment letter, the atmosphere reflected confidence and a renewed belief in the state’s direction.
Addressing the crowd, the Chief Minister urged the youth to support each other:

“Wherever you live, pledge to make at least one young person like you.”
He described this as the foundation for a stronger, more supportive Jharkhand.

Employment Boost: Over 16,000 Government Jobs in One Year
Highlighting achievements from the past year, Soren stated that more than 16,000 government jobs and 8,000 private-sector jobs were provided. He emphasised that today’s letters will boost the confidence of nearly 50,000 people when families and communities are included.
This focus on recruitment directly aligns with the government’s promise to expand employment opportunities—a major poll commitment.
A Proud Day With a Touch of Sadness
The Chief Minister noted that this anniversary would have been even more meaningful had Dishom Guru Shibu Soren been present. Remembering his recent passing, he said the veteran leader would have been happy to witness so many youth receive appointments.
He also paid tribute to social reformer Jyotiba Phule on his death anniversary.
A Historic Step: Largest Batch of Appointment Letters at One Time
Calling the day “historic,” Soren said such a large number of appointment letters had never been distributed together in Jharkhand. He stressed that the recruitment process was being carried out with transparency, honesty, and dedication, despite resistance from some quarters.
“Our aim is to establish a new dimension in this state,” he added, linking clean recruitment with long-term reforms promised during elections.
Development With Sensitivity and Inclusion
Throughout his speech, Soren stressed that development must be sensitive and inclusive.
He said the government is working for tribals, Dalits, backward classes, women, youth, and persons with disabilities, ensuring that both educated and less-educated individuals find paths to employment.
This commitment reflects the administration’s focus on governance that responds to all sections of society.
Women at the Centre: Visible Impact of Maiya Samman Yojana
A major highlight was the growing success of the Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana.
“Women are becoming self-reliant by joining this scheme,” the CM noted.
He shared the story of a woman who studied using the scheme’s financial support and received her appointment letter that very day.
Women now form 40% of assistant professors and 30% of JPSC Civil Services recruits, showing progress toward gender equality—another important promise.
Shared Responsibility for Jharkhand’s Future
Soren reminded the public that building the state is a shared effort.
“Officials, farmers, youth, women teachers—everyone has an important role in shaping and improving this state,” he said.
The government, he added, will continue to stand with the youth at every step.
A Stronger State Begins With Jobs and Cooperation
As the event ended, the atmosphere was filled with pride and renewed responsibility.
“Only with everyone’s cooperation and meaningful efforts will Jharkhand become strong,” Soren said.
While 8,792 youth stepped into government service today, the larger message was clear: Jharkhand has taken a collective step forward towards fulfilling promises of employment, empowerment, and inclusive growth.
A Future Built on Opportunity and Trust
The ceremony was not just a celebration of one year of governance—it was a reaffirmation of electoral commitments. With thousands of appointment letters delivered in a single day, Jharkhand’s journey ahead begins with confidence, inclusion, and collective resolve.
The future of Jharkhand is young, empowered, and ready—and the state is moving forward together.
