Ranchi, May 14: Government school students from Jharkhand have proven their academic mettle in their first-ever CBSE-style board examinations, achieving outstanding results across the board. These students, enrolled in the English-medium Utkrisht Vidyalayas launched by Chief Minister Hemant Soren in 2023, have showcased exceptional performance, with several scoring above 90% in both the Class 10 and Class 12 results.

Top Performers Set a New Benchmark
In the Class 10 examinations, Shivlal Mehta from Utkrisht Vidyalaya District School, Medininagar, topped with an impressive 96.6%, while in Class 12, Subhashree Verma from Utkrisht Vidyalaya, Dumka, led the Arts stream with 96.4%.

Other high achievers include:
- Abhay Kumar and Abhinav Gupta (Bokaro) – 95.4%
- Anvesha Singh (Latehar) – 95%
- Swarna Raj and Prashansha Kumar Dubey (Medininagar) – 94.4% and 93.6%
- Khushi Kumari (Balika Utkrisht Vidyalaya, Nawadih) – 93%
- Abhishek Kumar Dutta (Deoghar) – 92.8%
In the Class 12 results, students from across streams excelled:
- Rishi Raj Anand (Medininagar, Science) – 96.2%
- Shreya Pandey, Lakshmi Kumari, and Pragya Kumari (JC Bose, Giridih, Arts) – 94.4%, 94.6%, and 94.2%
- Dolly Kumari (Hazaribagh) and Srishti Devgharia (Bariatu, Ranchi, Commerce) – 94%
A Vision for Equitable, Quality Education
The Utkrisht Vidyalayas, part of the CM School of Excellence initiative, were envisioned by Chief Minister Hemant Soren to offer world-class, English-medium education to children in government schools across Jharkhand. Since their launch, 80 such schools have been established, providing modern infrastructure, innovative teaching methods, and CBSE-aligned curriculum to bridge the education gap between public and private institutions.
